The Importance of Arts, Culture & The Creative Process
Arts, culture, and the creative process help us connect with each other and share how we experience the world. It’s a way to challenge ideas and welcome differences.
It would be great to highlight more voices from underrepresented communities and see more collaborations between artists and people working in fields like environmental science or technology to find new ways of making art.
What stands out the most about this project is how it brings people from so many backgrounds together. It shows how creativity welcomes differences and gives way to new approaches, thinking, and experiencing the world.

Maria Louceiro (she/her) is a freelance photographer and art director based between Porto and Berlin. She studied mining and geo-environmental engineering but found that she loved drawing and photographing the mines much more than actually working in them. Maria works with both analog and digital photography and brings a dreamy approach to her images.

The Creative Process is created with kind support from the Jan Michalski Foundation.
