The Importance of Arts, Culture & The Creative Process
We are all creating the culture of our times, reflecting its complexity and its challenges. Passing through an array of environments that vary greatly in intensity, I am changed by their collective impact. My work sorts this out by reclassifying these experiences as abstracted characterizations.
I make images to carry these impressions and sensations to others. This is my contribution to the visual culture of which I am part, as we collectively generate responses to observed and perceived reality.

My work refers to the history of the luminous surface and investigates what it means today, especially since the backlit screen dominates our vision. My attention is on the transformation of common materials by using light and color. I imagine many of the other creatives on this platform have considered the importance of transformation.
