I’m a painter and videographer. It was during my studies at ENSAD Paris that I developed a practice of still image and moving image. Trained in mock-up, traditional cartoon and painting techniques, I explore different types of storytelling through these media. The questions of movement and fiction are at the heart of my practice. Throughout my projects, I wonder about the very technique of animation, going from experimental video to creating complex stories. The interest for me of traditional animation techniques consists in their margin of error and accident. The illusion of movement created by the succession of hand-painted images highlights the creator's gesture: each variation from one image to another in the touch of the brush creates vibrations of color and material.
My work revolves around ancestral themes such as violence, secrecy, the relationship of man to nature. In addition to multimedia exhibition projects such as "Les traversées" I am currently working on the creation of a 20-minute animated painting video: Noir-Soleil. This project benefits from the support of the Brittany region, from the Nouvelles Ecritures Francophones, from the CNC's aid for audiovisual innovation. I am currently in residence at the Cité internationale des arts, site du marais to develop this project.
